Isha Ferraz
Dancer

Isha Ferraz is a passionate dancer, performer, and dance and yoga instructor whose teaching journey began in 2007. From an early age, she discovered a deep love for the performing arts, training and performing with various dance companies from grade school through college. At twenty, she uncovered her gift for teaching and began instructing dance at her university in Nashville, Tennessee — a calling that would shape her life’s work.
Over the years, Isha has taught and practiced a wide range of movement disciplines, including Kuchipudi, Salsa, Bollywood, Jazz, Hip Hop, and various group fitness modalities. Her teaching style blends technical instruction with joyful expressive movement, creating accessible and inspiring experiences for students of all ages and backgrounds.
A profound resonance with Indian culture, Vedic philosophy, yoga, and the classical arts led Isha to devote herself to the study of Kuchipudi. In 2012, she began formal training under Guru Smt. Divya Shaker in Austin, Texas. After relocating to California in 2014, she continued her studies with Guru Smt. Lakshmi Bhavani Konduru, and in 2019 further refined her artistry under the tutelage of Yamini Kalluri.
Isha has performed internationally and has directed and produced numerous dance works. From 2015 to 2020, she founded and operated a successful multi-cultural dance studio in Southern California, cultivating inclusive spaces for cultural expression and community connection.
She is the Founder and President of Dance Ojai, a nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing and promoting multicultural dance arts. Through year-round classes, performances, and community programming, Dance Ojai serves the Ojai Valley and beyond. Its flagship event, the annual Ojai World Dance Festival, supports hundreds of performing artists and draws thousands of guests from across Southern California, celebrating global cultures through movement and music.
Beyond dance, Isha works professionally as a musician, graphic and web designer, event producer, and nonprofit advocate for the Adhyatmik Foundation. Her work across disciplines reflects her belief in the transformative power of art, sound, and community.
She remains deeply grateful to be part of this sacred dance tradition and offers heartfelt reverence to the gurus and lineage bearers who have preserved and shared this profound classical art form.
