Alpharetta, GA: 5-Day Kuchipudi Intensive with Yamini Kalluri

Yamini Kalluri will lead a five-day Kuchipudi workshop in Alpharetta, Georgia, hosted by Nataraja Natyanjali Kuchipudi Dance Academy.

The workshop will center on Lekha from Bhama Kalapam, in which Satyabhama writes a deeply personal letter to Krishna. Participants will explore the dramatic and expressive dimensions of the episode while developing greater clarity in characterization, storytelling, and abhinaya.

Alongside this repertoire study, Yamini will guide students through the refinement of foundational Kuchipudi technique, with attention to precision, alignment, strength, and movement quality. The intensive will also incorporate strengthening and body-conditioning practices designed to support dancers’ physical preparation and long-term development.
