About the event

Ballet Principles for Indian Classical Dancers is a five-day online conditioning intensive designed specifically for practitioners of Indian classical dance. Drawing from her ballet training, Yamini Kalluri introduces fundamental principles of alignment, posture, balance, strength, flexibility, and movement efficiency that complement and support the technical demands of Indian classical dance.

Rather than teaching ballet choreography, this workshop focuses on the conditioning methods and body awareness practices that help dancers develop greater control, cleaner lines, improved stability, increased mobility, and enhanced endurance. Whether you are looking to refine your technique, build strength, prevent injury, or deepen your understanding of movement, these sessions offer practical tools that can be integrated into your regular dance practice.

Dates: August 24-28

Time: 7:00-8:15 PM EDT (daily)
