Cross Practice: Graham Technique & Kuchipudi

Yamini Kalluri will join Graham Technique educator Axel Gérard for a weekend of Cross Practice presented by Graham for Europe at Micadanses in Paris. Bringing Kuchipudi and Martha Graham Technique into dialogue, the immersive workshop will invite participants to experience the connections, contrasts, and shared principles that emerge between two distinct movement traditions.

The weekend will begin with a collective introduction before participants move through alternating sessions in Kuchipudi and Graham Technique. Yamini will guide participants through the physical, rhythmic, and expressive language of Kuchipudi, while Axel will lead an exploration of Graham Technique. A closing conversation will offer participants an opportunity to reflect upon the sensations, ideas, and relationships discovered through both practices.
