About the event

Kritya Dance Ensemble members Arohi Dandawate and Akhila Ballari will present a Kuchipudi performance at America’s Potluck, a community celebration taking place as part of Hartford’s Long Weekend and the nationwide America 250 commemoration.


Inspired by the welcoming spirit of a traditional potluck, the event will invite residents and visitors from across Connecticut and beyond to gather around Hartford’s biggest community table. The afternoon will celebrate the stories, traditions, cultures, and experiences of the people and neighborhoods that make Hartford unique.


Alongside live cultural performances by artists including Arohi and Akhila, attendees can enjoy food trucks, community activities, and opportunities to meet and connect with people from across the city and beyond.


Whether you are a lifelong Hartford resident or visiting for Long Weekend, pull up a chair, experience the many cultures represented in the community, and take part in an afternoon centered on food, art, conversation, and connection. This…
