About the event

Kritya Dance Ensemble members Shruthi Ailneni, Akhila Ballari, Sravani Katamaneni, and Sushma Gurram will perform at RMTU Dance 2026, presented by the Colorado Fine Arts Association at the Lone Tree Arts Center.

RMTU Dance is a daylong celebration of South Asian classical dance, bringing together dancers and audiences from across Colorado for performances representing a variety of classical traditions. The event will create a space for artistic exchange, cultural connection, and the continued celebration of these living art forms.

The Kritya Dance Ensemble will present Dhanyasi Padavarnam, conceived and choreographed by Yamini Kalluri, with musical arrangement by Yamini Kalluri and Rohith Jayaraman.

The work portrays a passionate heroine whose heart has been captured by Lord Vishnu, only for him to leave her consumed by longing. In Yamini’s interpretation, the heroine recognizes her beloved across the Dasavatara—the ten incarnations of Vishnu—and reflects upon how she has found and fallen in love…
