Kritya in Chicago: Synesthesia

Kritya Foundation presents Synesthesia, an evening of live music and dance exploring the conversation between sound and movement. Bringing together Kritya students, ensemble members, and invited guest artists, the program centers the idea of the musician-dancer: artists for whom music and movement are not separate forms, but deeply intertwined ways of expression. Rooted in the idea of synesthesia, the experience of one sense through another, the evening asks what it means to see music and hear movement, inviting audiences into a performance where the two are constantly in dialogue.

The evening will feature performances by Kritya students across beginner, intermediate, and ensemble levels, woven together with appearances by invited artists Yamini Kalluri, Sindhu Vasudevan, Laya Raghav, Vivek Ramanan, Harsha Mandayam Bharathi and Deekshitha Jaligama. All performances will be presented with live music, creating a chamber-style atmosphere that highlights collaboration, musicality, and artistic exchange.
