About the event
Kritya Foundation returns to Lansing for a focused weekend of in-person training led by Yamini Kalluri.
Across two days, dancers will work deeply on Kuchipudi technique and repertoire, with an emphasis on strengthening foundational movement, refining alignment and execution, and developing greater clarity and intentionality in the form. The weekend also includes Ballet Principles for Indian Classical Dancers, exploring how principles from ballet can support alignment, strength, movement efficiency, and injury-conscious training while complementing the dancer’s primary classical practice.
General sessions are open to dancers outside the Kritya community. Kritya students and ensemble members will continue into additional closed community sessions on Sunday afternoon.
