Verona, Italy: Kuchipudi Workshop with Yamini Kalluri

Yamini Kalluri will lead a two-day workshop exploring the technique, expressivity, and aesthetics of Indian classical dance. Moving between tradition and contemporary artistic practice, the workshop will introduce participants to the physical, rhythmic, and expressive foundations of the form.

Participants will work with foundational movement technique, rhythm, mudras, or expressive hand gestures, and facial expression. Through these elements, the workshop will offer an immersive introduction to the relationship between movement, emotion, storytelling, and aesthetics within Indian classical dance.

Open to dancers, actors, and performers, the workshop will welcome participants interested in encountering Indian classical dance as both a rigorous physical practice and a deeply expressive artistic language. No prior experience in Indian classical dance is required.
