Yamini Kalluri & The Kritya Ensemble at Diaspora Dance Festival (Chennai)

Kamalkiran Vinjamuri, celebrated violinist and Yashwant Hampiholi a young exciting Mridangist will be joining us as guest artists with the Kritya Music ensemble. Rohith Jayaraman will be singing, and Vivek Ramanan will perform on Nattuvangam. We are excited to premiere new pieces:

- Bhu Suktham: This piece focuses on Mother Earth and the dancer's connection with the earth.

- Natavara Taruni: A Gopika experiences glitches between her past life with Rama as a saint and her current life with Krishna, delving into themes of time travel, past life recollection, and déjà vu.

- Jhinjhoti Tarana: This piece explores pure nritta (abstract dance) with Hindustani music and features a korvai composed by BC Manjunath sir.
